The Wisconsin Speleological Society (WSS) is the Wisconsin chapter of the National Speleological Society (NSS). We are a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and have no paid staff. All our activities State & Nation wide are the result of the many dedicated volunteers and donations. The membership of the WSS consists of a diverse group of members of all walks of life from geologists to weekend warriors to just being a monthly newsletter members. Joining the WSS is fun for all age groups and is an relatively inexpensive hobby. Everyone is welcome from members to non- members to come to the monthly WSS meetings that are usually held at the Calumet County Ledge View Nature Center The WSS usually meets at 11:00A.M. on the 3rd Saturday of every Month at Ledge View Nature Center at W2348 Short Rd. Chilton, Wisconsin, 53014. This schedule sometimes changes, and WSS meetings are held at other locations. Please refer to the latest issue of The Hollow Earth News or the WSS online calendar for updated meeting information. If you come to a meeting, everyone is friendly and accommodating. Feel free to ask question and you will get answers. We are a friendly and often entertaining group. In each of us, there is something that draws us to caves, and that common thread is what draws us together... Benefits of becoming a member of the WSS....
