Do you have a cave entrance, sinkhole, or just a hole in the ground in general that you would like us to check out? The WSS members would be happy to assist you in the exploration, mapping, gating, research
or clean up of potential caves on your property.
We respect the landowner's privacy by keeping all cave locations off public internet maps and social media.
This is a free service to landowners. The WSS also has waivers of liability if requested!
Liability Concerns
Have a cave and are worried about liability?
Recreational Use Statutes: Wisconsin has laws that completely protect landowners from being held responsible for injuries sustained during scientific or recreational activities on their property—as long as they do not charge a fee for entry.
