Race Information
Get your caveman costumes on (optional) and run/walk our 3K adventure course (including caves) at Ledge View Nature Center! This family-friendly event now has 3 different start times for runners of all kinds, including dogs! Winners will receive prizes for best group costume at 1:00pm, as well as 1st place runners from the 10:00am start time awarded at 11:00am. Stay after your adventure for live music, local brews, and food. This is fun for the whole family!
For safety of all participants, dogs will not be allowed into the cave system and must be leashed. Strollers are not allowed on the trails. Thank you for understanding.
Registration information:
$18.00 per person
$10.00 per dog
Register between March 18th and April 10th to receive a t-shirt and doggy bandana. The color will be Deep Red for both the shirts and bandanas.
Youth: XS-XL
Adult: XS-4XL
Dog bandana: One size
Registration between April 11th and May 11th does not include a t-shirt or dog bandana option, but visitors will receive an event sticker upon arrival.
If you would like to register for this event before April 11th and do not want to purchase apparel, please call the nature center at 920-849-1471 to register. All registrations after April 11th will not include apparel and will be at the cost of $10.00 per person or $5.00 per dog.
Parking available at the nature center and along Short Road if necessary. Volunteers will be available to help with parking.

Course Description
The 3K course is moderately undulating through woods and prairie, a quarry and a cave. The trails are surfaced with gravel or grass. Obstacles include:
A 60-foot observation tower
Quarry trail
Cave (walking and some optional crawling, dogs excluded from this portion)
Fun trail obstacles
New map
Clearly marked trails with water station
No strollers on the course please. Dogs allowed on the course (excluding caves) for final time slot. Those with dogs may begin the race between 11:00am-12:00pm.
Stay for the picnic after the course! The picnic features live music, brats, burgers, and beer sales. See information on the picnic below.
Boulder, Beer, & Boogie Picnic – Saturday, May 11th from 11:00am-2:00pm.
Come to Ledge View Nature Center to enjoy live music, food, and drinks during our Boulder, Beer, & Boogie Picnic! Entry is free and brats, burgers, and beers will be available for purchase.
Groove to the tunes of Two Souls, a local Wisconsin band, and enjoy beverages from a local brewery while spending quality time with friends and family out at the nature center and park. This picnic runs in conjunction with the Ledge View 3K Caveman Adventure Fun Run/Walk Fundraiser, but attendees to the picnic are welcome to join in the fun without participating in the 3K course.
Funds raised through this family-friendly event will go toward increasing and improving the environmental education and recreational opportunities we provide to our growing community.
